About Sky High Careers

Sky High Careers was founded in 2008 by Carlin Laviolet, a Delta Airlines Flight Attendant. After receiving several requests for help from people interested in applying to the airlines, she decided there was a definite need for good information out there for people wanting to get into the airline industry and in particular, the competitive job of a Flight Attendant.

Carlin has been involved in the airline industry her entire life and practically grew up on an airplane! Her father, a retired pilot for Continental Airlines, gave her her first taste for international flying. Her three brothers have also followed suit. Her older brother Camron is a pilot for Continental Airlines, her brother Clint is a pilot for ExpressJet and her brother Cort is an IT strategist and project developer for the airports in Berlin, Germany.

Carlin began her career as a Flight Attendant in 1997 with Delta Airlines, where she enjoys a fulfilling job of adventure still today. She has been based in Atlanta, Boston, Salt Lake City, New Orleans, and New York City.

She has held Flight Leader positions, both domestic and international, and regularly flies the International Lead Flight Attendant position to destinations all over Europe, Africa, South America, & the Middle East.

Carlin graduated with a Bachelor of Science from McNeese State University in General Studies and is currently a graduate student at Delta State University studying Commercial Aviation. She is also an instructor in the Aviation Department at Utah Valley University where she teaches In-Flight Awareness courses.

She graduated from the Presidio of Monterey Defense Language Institute in Serbian/Croatian Languages and served in both Air Force and Army Military Intelligence.

Carlin loves the mountains and winter skiing, exploring new places, keeping active and fit, music, reading, and room service! She resides in Utah with her five-year old son, Zane.
