          About Sky High Careers

          Carlin Laviolet Clarke
          Director, Sky High Careers

I been involved in the airline industry my entire life and practically grew up on an airplane! My father, a retired pilot for Continental Airlines, gave me my first taste for international flying and my brothers have also followed suit.

I began my flight attendant career with Delta Airlines in 1997, where I enjoy a fulfilling job of adventure still today! I have been based in Atlanta, Boston, Salt Lake City, New Orleans, and New York City. I have held domestic and international positions and regularly fly the Purser position to destinations all over Europe, Africa, Middle East, and South America.

My strong desire to learn a foreign language led me to enlist in the military. I was stationed at the Defense Language Institute in California and graduated in Serbian/Croatian languages and carried on to have exciting and wonderful experiences serving in both Air Force and Army Military Intelligence capacities. I completed my Bachelors of Science degree at McNeese State University, graduating in General Studies with an emphasis in Health Promotion. My love of aviation and business made the Masters of Commercial Aviation program a perfect fit for me and I graduated with my MCA from Delta State University in 2010. I am now an instructor at one of the top universities in the country for aviation.

Over the years, I have worked as a consultant and career coach to those interested in pursuing a career as a flight attendant. In 2008, I started the company, Sky High Careers, to facilitate the training and instruction I provide to the global community. In 2009, I published my first book, Sky High Careers: Your Guide to Becoming a Flight Attendant, putting my successful career coaching to print!

Presently, I split my time between Utah and England. I enjoy the mountains, hiking and skiing, exploring new places, keeping active and fit, music, reading, and room service! I am married to a Brit, who is every bit as adventurous as I am, and we are working to instill the same love of flying in the 7 children we share together.
